Our Sustainable projects

Protection of forests and trails with Fedabo
At Polli, we’re proud to be a part of the Fedabo Ecosystem project. This aims to safeguard the forest and river ecosystems of Valle Camonica and neighbouring valleys.
As part of this project, Polli supported in 2023 the redevelopment of 80m of the “Lazaret Green Path” in the province of Bergamo, and the redevelopment of 200m of the 30,000m² Gianico forest area in the locality of Strada dei Tedeschi (BS).
In 2024, also in the municipality of Gianico (BS), Polli participated in the redevelopment of another 200 sqm of wooded area.
BEEING
In 2023, we began our journey to support sustainable beekeeping by adopting five beehives.
In 2024, we took a step forward: from supporters to beekeepers.
We have built a little apiary, with 5 beehives, near our Lozzo Atestino production facility, in the heart of the Euganean Hills.

CONSERVATION OF LAND WITH EVJA
We’ve partnered with Evja and the Il Buongusto agricultural company (VR) to optimise water and fertiliser consumption in our basil cultivation for healthier, more robust plants.
Using Agricolus’ irrigation forecast model, water will be distributed efficiently with minimal waste plus, prescription maps will optimise fertiliser use- adjusting the dose accordingly, to minimse its environmental impact.

Through the Orto in Città (Vegetable Garden in the City) project, Polli champions the many benefits that nature gives us. Starting in 2022 to bring a touch of green and nature to the beating heart of Milan, the Orto in Città has become a real place for Polli to meet and discover. It is a project of culture and aggregation to spread innovative ideas related to sustainability that revive the profound relationship between city and nature in the hearts of participants.
Its workshops for adults and children, as well as picnics and outdoor aperitifs, were hosted in 2023 and 2024 by Cascina Cuccagna in Milan.

Social sustainability
At Polli, we do our best to support local communities. We’ve worked in partnership with Banco Alimentare Toscana, the Italian foodbank network, since 2022, and in that time we have donated more than 168,869 products. Nearly 11,400 of these went to support the communities affected by the November 2022 floods.
In 2023, Polli launched its children’s play area in Monsummano Terme, the headquarters of F.lli Polli SpA. This area, equipped with games and rides, allows the youngest children of the local Tuscan community to play in the open air and in contact with the nature.
